About Soweto Opera Quadro… Established in 2003 by a group of musicians from Soweto and its surroundings. Classically trained singers Eddie Mabuna, Bokang Sehau, Elliot Koena and Xola Mpola sing a diverse array of popular light classical, adult contemporary and operatic songs. They have sung with leading opera companies in South Africa and performed in oratoria and concerts; and have gone on to perform worldwide.

Founded by Jeremy and Emma Borg, and drawing inspiration from the African Wild Dog, our own Painted Wolf pack is a community of talented individuals who bring the best available grapes, artistic and technical skills to Painted Wolf Wines. Team work and persistence drive us towards our wine and conservation goals

We produce wines with a distinctive South African feel, and to that end focus largely on wines crafted from Chenin Blanc and Pinotage – the two bench mark South African grape varieties.

The grapes are sourced from our pack members’ vineyards, which are low yielding, mostly unirrigated and farmed organically or with minimal non organic inputs.

We invite you to join us for yet another seductive afternoon of music under the trees. We are delighted to host singer; songwriter – Naming James – an accomplished and well known musical artist who will perform live in our summer gardens this coming Easter weekend.

ABOUT NAMING JAMES

Songs about as sharpened as The Butcher’s Knife.’ Lyric from the title track of the first full length Naming James album, says it all. The singer/songwriter/string breaker offers up a diverse collection of finely crafted songs that have been tried and tested on stages around South Africa to audiences as varied as the country itself. The Butcher’s Knife’ is set for release in April 2012 and promises to be filled with as much vigour and honesty as every Naming James’ live show.
