At Die Ou Pastorie, we have an intrinsic belief structure – we try to manage our environment sustainably – to the best of our abilities.  Our small property lies in the rich fertile valley of Scheerpoort; flanked on either side by the beautiful Magaliesberg Mountains and the Witwatersberg and interlaced with life-giving rivers… and we are fortunate to be part of an old and trusted water course – shared water of the “ leiwater” – ancient furrows of man-made water courses which still operate on a “trust and time” system. Here we use organic and simple farming methods to grow nutrient rich greens and veggies for use in our restaurant; and now supplying other neighbouring hospitality outlets…  We are amongst the initiators of microgreens – young and tender seedlings harvested weekly – rich and pure and tasty.  The signature of our restaurant.  Amidst our lush and tranquil gardens, we cultivate a multitude of edible plants and herbs !  A mouth-watering meander and a wonder to walk in.
